Hans
The president and founder of Star Tile, Hans is recognized as one of the industry leaders in the flooring industry. In his 57 years in the business, he has brought a level of integrity and quality to flooring. Industry associates consult him regularly for his experience and problem solving abilities. Quietly competent, dryly humorous, and solid in his role as the patriarch of the company, Niagara is fortunate to have the experience Hans brings to flooring projects.
Gayle
General manager and partner in the family business, Gayle oversees the daily operations of the business. She coordinates the company's sales department, marketing, hiring, scheduling and purchasing. She is actively involved in the local community, an ardent volunteer, great organizer and competent business person. She loves the flooring business and enjoys the personal touch she gets to bring to so many of Niagara 's homes and businesses. Gayle is happy to do home or business site consultations and offers her 30 years of flooring experience in your planning process. Have a question? Darryl
Comptroller and partner in the family business, Darryl is also the company slate expert. In addition to managing the company's finances, Darryl looks after New England Slate, the stone manufacturing arm of Star Tile. He would be pleased to assist you on your next slate project - be it a fireplace or landscaping materials you need. Or do you have an existing slate floor? Yvonne
Yvonne is the company's secretary - treasurer. She is the "woman behind the scenes" quietly and competently making sure the company is well managed from an accounting perspective. She also assists in the showroom from time to time. Her years of experience will provide you with practical innovative advice for your flooring renovations.
Mary
Every project requires that little extra TLC that will make it one you'll be proud of. Mary clearly enjoys her position as sales and decorating consultant, and loves to assist homeowners in finding that perfect tile or flooring for their particular project. With twenty years of experience in the construction industry, she also brings a down to earth knowledge that helps make the project go smoothly. She will help you coordinate trades people, review proper preparation for your new flooring installation and give you sound decorating advice. Michael
Michael brings 20 years of floor covering knowledge to his role as residential estimator. Michael is the gentleman that will come (at no cost to you) to give you a free in home estimate for your next flooring project. With his broad knowledge, he can offer you the assistance you need to make your flooring renovation go smoothly. He can assist you with recommending competent trades people, can advise how to best prepare for your project, and help coordinate the scheduling to make sure it all goes smoothly. Rosemary
Meet our office administrator. Rosemary is the anchor that steers the ship - quietly competent, hugely organized and quick witted, Rosemary is an asset to the Star Tile team. She occasionally handles sales, so if you are greeted by Rosemary, know you're in good hands. She is the lady that keeps all the details in check.
Nancy
Nancy is the helm of Star Tile's reception area. It's her friendly voice that directs your call, takes your orders, offers advice where she can, and make sure you are taken care of. Nancy 's creative talents can be seen in our splendid slide show! She is knowledgeable, and extends the best of care to every call she receives.
Peter
Peter MacDonald, our Distribution Sales Manager, develops and maintains our business relationships with tile and stone retailers and contractors across Ontario and Western New York. With his years of experience and consultative selling approach, he builds the wholesale market for Star Tile. Feel free to call Peter if you are interested in our unique line of imported ceramic, porcelain, and stone products. He welcomes new business opportunities.
Sherry
Sherry Pang is your commercial and institutional estimator and project coordinator. She brings her highly organized, competent, friendly demeanour to every job she's involved with. She'll recommend the right product for your project, and help you coordinate budgets and schedules to bring it from concept to reality. Her twenty years of estimating and site coordinating means she has the know how to handle the challenges that arise in the construction process. Richard
Richard loves the opportunity to show his creative talent. His eye for detail and artistic flair are displayed in his tile and stone installations. He has been with Star Tile for 12 years, having trained in his native Nova Scotia and under Star Tile's experienced artisans. He is well organized and will ensure your home and commercial projects are completed on time and to your satisfaction. You'll love the work he does!
Luciano
Luciano has been working as a tile and stone craftsmen for some 22 years now. He joined us right after school, training under some of our finest Italian craftsmen for several years. He prides himself in quality workmanship and his talent is evident in many of the finest homes in Niagara . He is one our most sought after installers, clients are willing to wait up to six months for the 'Luciano touch' to their projects.
Ali
A multi talented individual, he is primarily involved in commercial and institutional tile, stone and terrazzo installations. Ali has been part of the Star Tile team since 1995 after emigrating from his native Lebanon . Ali is well suited to large projects, and coordinates his crew to ensure the work is done on time with the quality you deserve and with his proud stamp of approval.
Vince
"One of the best trained commercial flooring mechanics in the province" states Forbo. Vince has years of flooring experience, excelling in highly specialized types of flooring. He and his team have the expertise to overcome the challenges flooring installers often face.
Juan Carlos
Juan Carlos is the man in charge of shipping and receiving. He is the person who makes sure you get the right product, always packaged as you need it.
Jelle
Known as "Beanie" because many Canadians couldn't pronounce his Dutch name, he is our lead carpet mechanic with almost fifty years of experience. He heads our larger projects team - bringing his expertise to coordinate larger scale installations, and ensure the job is done for all concerned on time, on budget, and with utmost satisfaction.
